About the Author
I've been writing since I was little, and themes of friendship, courage and the natural world are important to me. I currently write books for 9-14 yr olds, tales of adventure in magical settings. My characters face themes of growing up and finding their own 'powers'. For example in The Ice Giant, which won a Purple Dragonfly Award, Elika connects with her Icelandic heritage. Thanks to Handersen Publishing in Lincoln, Nebraska for bringing this and other books to life.
I also love writing poems.
I'm Italian-American and a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). Also a member of the Golden Egg Academy (Writing Fiction for Children and Young Adults).
Catch me on the BBC Lincolnshire Radio Storyteller program 18 Aug 2019. I have also been featured on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
